DAY 1. MOSCOW (WELCOME TO RUSSIAN CAPITAL!)

DAY 2. KREMLIN AND RED SQUARE TOUR

Begin your introduction to Moscow the capital of Russia with its most important tourist attraction and the centre of Russian power and politics – the Kremlin. The Kremlin is a famous historic fortified complex located in the heart of Moscow. Once home to grand dukes and tsars, it is now the President’s official residence. Afterwards, take a walk around Red Square and see the most remarkable touristic spots of Moscow: colourful St. Basil’s Cathedral, famous Lenin’s Mausoleum and the beautiful State Historical Museum. Walk along Nikolskaya Street to see the magnificent Bolshoi Theater with its famous quadriga on top, also it has the world biggest ballet company.

ACCESSIBILITY: The entrance to the territory of the Kremlin is adapted for visitors with mobility and visual impairments (ramps, corduroy tactile paving etc.). For some of the museum cathedrals, extra assistance is needed. The Assumption cathedral has wheelchair access.

Day 3. BACK TO USSR TOUR

Explore Soviet Moscow and this part of Russian history with its most exciting and most terrifying sides! Explore historical, impressive soviet-style spots and feel for a while as you were back to the USSR! Join Back to the USSR 4h tour by a private car.

MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY

First, you will enjoy the main building of Moscow State University, which impresses with its great style and scale. Upon the request, we can organize part of the tour inside of this university, so you could see the student’s life and see from inside how the biggest and best Russian university is set. Right across Moscow State University, there is the panoramic spot Sparrow Hills with a stunning view of the city.

VICTORY PARK

The next stop is Victory Park, which was established after the WWII (for Russians the Great Patriotic War) and has impressive statues to the victims of the war. You will be so impressed that might want to come back another time to visit the famous museum of Russian Great Patriotic War. It is really impressive and we recommend visiting.

VDNKH – ALL-RUSSIA EXHIBITION CENTRE

At the end of the tour, we will take you to the VDNKh – All-Russia Exhibition Centre, a recreational and amusement park. It is a monumental and breathtaking example of soviet construction, with its famous “Friendship of Nations” Fountain placed in the centre of the park’s enormous area. All its territory was reconstructed only late summer 2014. In wintertime, there is the biggest in the world skating ring. If you are still not tired, you can also visit recently reopened The Cosmonautics Memorial Museum to learn about astronomy, space technology, and exploration.

Day 4. THE PUSHKIN STATE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts located in the historic centre of Moscow is in the possession of the world’s most famous art collections from Ancient Egypt and Greece to our days. The Museum is also opened to contemporary art and attempts to engage modernity and classic artworks in a mutual dialogue. Besides its permanent exhibition, the Museum hosts world-class temporary exhibitions throughout the year.

ACCESSIBILITY: The Pushkin State Museum provides a comfortable environment for visitors with different capabilities.

For many years, it has partnered with foundations and associations that provide support to people with impairments. The Pushkin State Museum has launched the “Accessible Museum” project. It includes exhibitions and educational activities for such visitors.

Day 5. WELCOME TO ST.PETERSBURG!

In the morning, you will have a private transfer to the train station in Moscow where you will take a fast train to St Petersburg (4 hours). Upon your arrival to St Petersburg, your driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel Ibis.

ACCESSIBILITY: Both Leningradskiy train station in Moscow and Moskovskiy train station in St Petersburg have accessible facilities for tourists with mobility impairments. If needed, the Centre for the Promotion of Mobility at Russian Railways staff can accompany tourists at the railway station and its main areas (upon advance request). The company “Russian Railways” offers comfortable access to long-distance trains for passengers with disabilities. There is a lift for disabled people in the entrance to the car, through which passengers can get in both the high and low platform without leaving the wheelchair.

Day 6. ENJOY ST PETERSBURG ATTRACTIONS

Start your day with a sightseeing tour. Explore the most beautiful and impressive city attractions but also get a more local taste of the city’s life. Pass by small, cosy cafes and indie bars, discover famous courtyards and gorgeous side-streets. You will pass Nevsky Prospekt, the main street of St Petersburg, with countless shops, restaurants, and hotels. Visit the Kazan Cathedral – one of the most picturesque churches on Nevsky. Take a picture of the colourful and breathtaking Church of the Savior on the Spilt Blood, take in the cityscape from the top of the colonnade of St. Isaac’s Cathedral.

ACCESSIBILITY: The cathedrals that you will visit during the excursion are wheelchair accessible.

Day 7. HERMITAGE

Today visit the Hermitage – one of the biggest and oldest museums of art and culture in the world. Its collections feature over 3 million masterpieces, representing the development of world culture and art from the Stone Age to the 20th century. The museum’s main building is the Winter Palace, a former residence of the Russian emperor; you won’t miss it because all excursions to Hermitage start exactly from this point.

ACCESSIBILITY: The Hermitage has the necessary facilities providing all visitors with the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the world-renowned collections and masterpieces of the museum. The entrance from the Palace Embankment is fitted with a ramp. The entrance from the Palace Square is accessible by a ramp and a lifting facility. Inside the Palace, the lifts are available.

Day 8. EXCURSION TO PETERHOF

First thing in the morning you will leave to the Peterhof Palace, commonly known as the “Russian Versailles”, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Peterhof is a series of majestic palaces and colourful gardens located near Saint Petersburg: for 200 years it served as a summer residence of the Russian monarchs. In the 18th and 19th centuries, it was a setting for majestic receptions, grand festivities, balls, concerts, and masquerades. Visit the Grand Palace, the Mon Plaisir Palace, walk around 150 beautiful fountains and the Upper and Lower Parks, and see the shore of the Gulf of Finland. It’s a magical place with a magical atmosphere!
