    A regional view of Russia

Had a fun day with our guide Kate who was a real personality. After the hustle and bustle of Moscow this is a good tour to see some of the regional aspects of Russian life and learn about the times of Tolstoy. If you visit make sure you go into the peasant hut display on the Tolstoy estate – really interesting!
We also enjoyed trying our culinary skills or lack there of at the Kremlin in Tula!

    My day in Jasnaja Polyana

It was a lovely day, the weather and the guides were really nice. The place has a an athmosphere which invites one to have deep conversations about philosophical and historical topics which was the case with my guide Katya. She prepared a littler Pic nic including real Tolstoj estate apples which we picked ourselves and enjoyed in a quite picturesque place. I personally am a great Samowar fan so I was in paradise in that museum and could have walked out with all of them. But quite frankly how many Samowar does one person need?
Tula was interesting and if one is into arms and war stuff then ist surely the place to go. If I could attach pictures of this day I would but I do not know how to….
